Dental implant therapy in the anterior and posterior regions presents unique challenges to clinicians trying to achieve ideal esthetic and biologic results. In the past, implant surgery was performed wherever the patient's anatomy allowed an implant to be placed. This strategy led to unpredictable outcomes and challenging restorative scenarios that did not meet patients' high expectations. Many strategies have since been developed to reduce the variability and unpredictability of implant therapy and the final prosthetic outcome. The biggest paradigm shift is restorative-driven planning and the use of implant surgical guides. This shift has opened up the possibility of treating esthetic regions with high predictability. The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate one such strategy.
