Dr. Paula Jones, DDS, FAGD, has served the AGD as the Trustee from Region 8. She has served three terms as a member of the Academyıs Foundation Board of Directors. She is a long time member of the ADA, Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, and the American Association of Women Dentists. She is a fellow of the American College of Dentistry and the Academy of Dentistry International.
Dr. Jones began her career in dentistry as a dental hygienist. After her graduation from Case Western Reserve, School of Dentistry in 1984, she began practicing dentistry as an associate in Fostoria, Ohio, and then built her own practice in Wheaton, Ill., which is a suburb of Chicago, in 1986. Dr. Jones has been an active member of the AGD since 1984.
Dr. Jones has served the AGD in many capacities. She was appointed to the Membership Council in 1993, serving two terms, which included five years as Chair, and then was elected Regional Director of Region 8. She served three years on the CAMIC Council and then was elected Trustee of her region in 2002. She has attended every House of Delegates, Leadership Conference, and Membership Training Session since 1992 and has held a delegate/alternate position in the AGD since 1993. Dr. Jones has been a SmileLine Web volunteer since its inception and a spokesdentist since 1994. In 1995, she was awarded the AGD Distinguished Service Award and achieved her Fellowship in the AGD.
